Babies, soup and reconnecting!

October 17 will be reunion Sunday with a soup lunch after church.

There will also be a baby dedication during the service and we hope to also take a group picture of all our families/children together (should be a great keepsake).

Spread the word to any Uptowners abroad who might not know about this but who you think would want to be there.

No need to buy a gift for every baby!  If you could contribute 20$-ish to Bertha Funk or Emily Vonk at church, they'll buy group gifts for each mom, depending on what she needs.

Uptown is planning a carnival in mid-September to raise funds for our Uptown Kids' Programs.  Our dream is to host a fun-filled afternoon - BBQ with food for sale, live music, carnival stations for the kids, a silent auction and invite Uptowners and their friends and families to come, enjoy, and support.

Please be a part of the planning team - we need help with everything from handing out invites to planning the fun activities to making signs, etc!  If you're interested, we're having a first meeting on Saturday, June 26, 9 - 11 AM SHARP, at the home of Mark and Sarah Rose: 13181 28 Avenue, 604.531.4199.
